You may ask . . . What does a Marketing Consultant do? Here’s a simple definition:
“A Marketing Consultant assists companies in creating and implementing the best possible strategies to reach their target audience.
Marketing theory and practice are justified in the belief that customers use a product or service because they have a need, or because it provides a perceived benefit.
Two major factors of marketing are:
- The recruitment of new customers (acquisition)
The retention and expansion of relationships with existing customers (base management).
Essentially, marketing is the process of creating or directing an organization to be successful in selling a product or service that people not only desire, but are willing to buy. Therefore, good marketing must be able to create a set of benefits for the end customer that delivers value through its services.
Here are a few of the processes I can offer:
- Identify your unique selling proposition.
- Assess how changing elements of your product or service impacts customer behavior.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of your marketing programs
- Analyze the results
- Communicate the findings and their implications
